Space Jam Celebration Revives NASCAR's Chicago Street Race
Bubba Wallace’s No. 23 Toyota will roll onto the streets of Chicago bearing a special “Space Jam” livery, marking the 30th anniversary of the beloved 1996 film that paired Michael Jordan with the Looney Tunes.
The design, unveiled in partnership among 23XI Racing, Upper Deck, and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, blends the iconic cartoon aesthetic with the sleek lines of NASCAR’s newest street‑circuit event.
Fans attending the July 2 watch party at Navy Pier will see the car up close, receive limited‑edition trading cards, and collect commemorative memorabilia tied to the film’s legacy.
The collaboration reflects a broader strategy by NASCAR to join forces with entertainment powerhouses, following recent deals with the Rolling Stones and other cultural icons, aiming to attract audiences beyond traditional racing fans.
Beyond the visual spectacle, the partnership underscores the growing intersection of sports, pop culture, and collectible art, with Upper Deck set to release exclusive digital cards and a signed Lionel die‑cast model of Wallace’s car.
