NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures are bringing back the docuseries RISING for its second season, this time streaming exclusively on Xumo Play. The series offers an intimate look at the lives of three young drivers who are reshaping the future of stock car racing.
A fresh look at the next generation of NASCAR talent
The show follows Carson Hocevar, a 23‑year‑old known for his fearless driving style and his first Cup Series victory at Talladega; Connor Zilisch, the 19‑year‑old prodigy making his debut with Trackhouse Racing; and Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, a 28‑year‑old former longshoreman who climbed from the docks to become an ARCA champion.
Season 2 will roll out monthly beginning in August, with each episode arriving on Xumo Play and then becoming available on NASCAR’s YouTube channel after a 14‑day window. The release cadence is designed to keep viewers engaged throughout the summer while building anticipation for each new installment.
RISING is produced by FULL SPEED ENTERTAINMENT, a partnership between NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures. The series is executive produced by Tim Clark and John Dahl from NASCAR Studios, alongside Connor Schell, Libby Geist, Aaron Cohen and Tally Hair from Words + Pictures, who bring their documentary expertise to capture the drivers’ personal and professional journeys.
Beyond the racing action, the docuseries aims to deepen fans’ connection to the personalities driving the sport forward. By highlighting the unique backgrounds, challenges and ambitions of Hocevar, Zilisch and Queen, the series offers a narrative that extends beyond the track and into the broader culture of American motorsports.
