Three races at Naval Base Coronado promise high‑stakes competition across the Truck, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Cup Series

A Weekend of Speed on the Pacific Coast

NASCAR is set to light up the waters of Coronado this June with a three‑race weekend that blends tradition and spectacle, bringing the sport’s top series to Naval Base Coronado for the first time in years.

The action kicks off on Friday at 4 p.m. with the Navy 250, the premier event of the Craftsman Truck Series, followed by the United Rentals Driven To Serve 250 on Saturday at 2 p.m., the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series showcase, and culminates on June 21 at 1 p.m. with the Anduril 250, the flagship NASCAR Cup Series race.

Each contest brings its own flavor: the Truck race will feature a parade of Ford F‑150s, Chevrolet Silverados, Toyota Tundras and Dodge Rams, while the O’Reilly Auto Parts event will showcase Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros and Toyota Supras, and the Cup race will run Chevrolet Camaro ZL1s, Ford Mustangs and Toyota Camry TRDs.

Points leaders entering the weekend are Layne Riggs atop the Truck standings, Justin Allgaier leading the O’Reilly Auto Parts championship, and Tyler Reddick perched at the top of the Cup points list.

Fans will also be watching a host of veteran and rising talent, including Corey Heim and Jimmie Johnson in the Navy 250, Brent Crews and Austin Hill in the United Rentals race, and Shane Van Gisbergen alongside Jimmie Johnson in the Anduril 250.

Broadcast coverage will be split between Fox Sports and The CW, with streaming also available on Prime Video, ensuring that viewers across the country can follow the on‑track battles.

The weekend not only highlights the diversity of American stock car racing but also underscores the growing partnership between military installations and the sport, bringing a unique blend of heritage and high‑performance competition to Southern California.
