AI Meets Football: The Creative Vision
Brazilian football icon Neymar Jr. has entered a new creative arena by partnering with COL Group’s FlareFlow to produce a 16‑title microdrama series powered by artificial intelligence.
The first six episodes are scheduled to roll out between June 19 and June 22, marking the initial wave of a release plan that will extend throughout the football season.
Global distribution will be handled through a dual‑channel approach, with mainland China reachable on the popular social platform Xiaohongshu, which boasts more than 200 million daily active users.
Neymar, who commands a following of over 220 million across social media, will appear in a variety of roles, bringing his personal brand and fan base to the storytelling process.
James Wang, chief executive of FlareFlow, said the collaboration leverages Neymar’s worldwide star power to push the limits of narrative design within an AI‑driven production pipeline.
Timothy Oh, general manager of COL Group International and chief marketing officer of FlareFlow, highlighted the strategic use of both FlareFlow and Xiaohongshu to capture sustained engagement from fans around the world.
The launch coincides with the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, as well as the APOS conference in Bali, positioning the series as an event‑driven cultural moment.
By marrying AI workflows with the reach of a football legend, the project aims to redefine how short‑form drama is conceived, produced and consumed on a global scale.
