Nick Sanchez is set to make his inaugural NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start of the 2026 season at Indianapolis Raceway Park, stepping into the No. 77 Chevrolet fielded by Spire Motorsports.
The 23‑year‑old driver has navigated a patchwork schedule this year, beginning with AM Racing after his departure from Big Machine Racing and later earning opportunities with Peterson Racing, accumulating 47 Truck starts that have yielded two victories at Daytona and Charlotte in 2024.
Sanchez’s résumé also includes a triumph in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series at Atlanta last year, underscoring his ability to win on diverse tracks, while his recent finishes of 11th and 10th at IRP hint at a growing comfort with the 0.75‑mile layout.
A Fresh Face in the No. 77
Spire Motorsports has rotated a carousel of talent in the No. 77 this season, fielding drivers such as Carson Hocevar, Parker Kligerman, Justin Marks, Jesse Love and Connor Zilisch, and it was Hocevar who broke through with the team’s sole win to date at Texas Motor Speedway.
