Javier Tebas, president of Spain’s LaLiga, has publicly criticized the Balogun decision, suggesting that Infantino should consider stepping down amid growing scrutiny of his relationship with the U.S. president.
FIFA has not yet responded to a Reuters request for comment, leaving the football community to await the outcome of the NFF’s deliberations and the potential impact on Infantino’s standing.
