Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey, is converting its stadium into a temporary home for Haiti's national soccer team as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup.
The playing surface is being replaced with Kentucky bluegrass, a grass variety favored by professional leagues, to ensure the pitch meets the standards required for international competition.
Alongside the field work, the university's sports center will be made available to the Haitian squad, granting them access to locker rooms, offices and conference spaces for the duration of their stay.
Security will be tightened during the team's visit, with most training sessions kept behind closed doors to protect players and staff.
This is not the first time Stockton has hosted foreign teams; the institution has a track record of welcoming international squads and views the arrangement as part of a broader effort to foster goodwill.
Looking Ahead to the Brazil Clash
Haiti's team is scheduled to touch down in New Jersey on June 8, ahead of their June 19 matchup with Brazil in Philadelphia, a fixture that will test their preparation in a new environment.
