On Monday, the University of Tennessee rolled out its newest men’s basketball uniforms, a bright orange ensemble that signals the start of a decade-long partnership with Adidas.
The design keeps the classic silhouette fans recognize, but adds subtle updates such as refined collaring, updated sleeve piping and a distinctive center-color Adidas logo placed across the chest.
Above the player’s name plate, a bold ‘Power T’ badge pays homage to the school’s athletic identity while reinforcing the new branding.
Head coach Rick Barnes praised the collaboration, saying the partnership aligns with the university’s recent competitive successes and the growing influence of the Adidas brand.
The agreement marks the latest chapter in a relationship that dates back to 1995, when Adidas first equipped the Volunteers before a stint with Nike that ran from 2015 until mid-2015.
A Fresh Look for a New Era
The orange kit, while visually striking, is engineered for performance, featuring lightweight fabrics and breathable construction that meet the rigorous demands of modern college basketball.
University officials say the new apparel will be available to players and staff starting this summer, and will be showcased during the upcoming exhibition games.
The partnership also includes community outreach initiatives, with Adidas pledging support for youth basketball programs across Tennessee.
As the Volunteers prepare for the upcoming season, the new uniforms serve as a visual promise of continuity and ambition, blending tradition with forward-looking style.
