Tennessee Volunteers Unveil New Adidas Uniforms After Nike Partnership Ends

The redesign introduces fresh number fonts, subtle collar accents, and hints at a Smokey Grey alternate jersey.

Uniform Redesign Highlights

The University of Tennessee announced this week that it has returned to Adidas as the official apparel provider for all 20 of its varsity sports, ending a twelve‑year run with Nike.

The new football jerseys showcase a number font that blends a classic block silhouette with contemporary angular edges, while the orange home, white road and black alternate kits retain the school’s traditional palette and keep the familiar shoulder TV numbers.

A thin circle encircles the Power “T” on the collar, a subtle homage to the 1990s aesthetic, and the phrase “I will give my all!” is stitched inside the back collar as a motivational tagline.

The standard white and black alternate pants feature two side stripes and a larger Power “T” on the right hip, while the helmets remain unchanged with a thick orange center stripe and side logos.

Beyond football, the redesign includes a white circle around the SEC patch on the orange home jersey, a lack of contrasting collar on the white road version, and a black background for the SEC emblem on the black alternates.

The athletic department also hinted at a forthcoming “Smokey Grey” or throwback‑inspired alternate uniform that could debut later this season, adding another layer of variety to the lineup.
