The United States Men’s National Soccer Team has revealed its 26‑player roster for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup, a tournament that will begin on June 12 at SoFi Stadium with a match against Paraguay.
Roster Composition
The squad features a balanced mix of experience and fresh talent, with exactly thirteen players returning from the 2022 edition and thirteen making their first World Cup appearance.
Among the returnees is midfielder Tyler Adams, who captained the side in Qatar two years ago, alongside a host of other established names.
The average age of the lineup stands at 26 years and 332 days, positioning it as the fifth youngest American World Cup team ever fielded.
Defender Chris Richards is currently recuperating from an ankle injury, and his availability remains uncertain as the tournament approaches.
Preparation and Schedule
Before the global showcase, the Americans will play two preparatory friendlies, first against Senegal and then against Germany, to fine‑tune their tactics.
In the group stage, the United States will meet Australia in Seattle on June 19 and Turkey at SoFi Stadium on June 25, while the roster will become official on June 1, with injured players eligible for replacement up to 24 hours before the opener.
Historically, this marks only the second time the United States has hosted a World Cup, the first having been in 1994, and the team’s best ever run came in 2002 when they reached the quarterfinals.
