The United States Soccer Federation has called up 24 players born in 2011 for a week‑long training camp in Fayetteville, Georgia, marking the first domestic gathering of the under‑15 women’s pool at the newly opened Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center.
A New Era for the U‑15 Program
Head coach Vanessa Mann, who leads the U.S. Under‑15 Girl’s National Team, described the camp as a critical accelerator for a development pathway that will eventually feed the senior national side.
The initiative is embedded in the broader U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes expanded programming for youth national teams and creates a clearer route for players to progress from the U‑15 to U‑16 and beyond.
Twenty different youth clubs across the country are represented, with five athletes hailing from California and four from Virginia, while two players each come from Eclipse Select SC, Indy Premier SC, San Diego Surf SC and the Virginia Development Academy.
Positionally, the group comprises three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and seven forwards, giving the staff a balanced pool as they evaluate talent for the upcoming 2028 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Mann emphasized that this camp represents the final stage of the U‑15 cycle for these players, after which they will transition to the U‑16 level, making the experience a crucial checkpoint in their international ambitions.
