The United States Under‑19 men’s national team has named a 21‑player roster for the upcoming 2026 Concacaf U‑20 Championship in Mexico, a tournament that doubles as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA U‑20 World Cup, the 2027 Pan American Games and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Head coach Gonzalo Segares announced the squad after a week‑long evaluation that drew talent from 13 Major League Soccer clubs, two USL Championship sides, three professional outfits in Europe and a single collegiate player.
The team will report to Real Salt Lake’s America First Training Ground for a pre‑camp beginning June 17, where fitness assessments and tactical drills will shape the final lineup.
On June 21 the players will board a flight to Mexico, where all group‑stage matches are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET and will be televised on FS2 and the Concacaf YouTube channel.
Group Stage and Advancement Format
The United States has been placed in a group with Haiti, El Salvador and Cuba, with each match kicking off at the same evening hour in Estadio Cuauhtémoc, Puebla.
Advancement rules see the top two teams from each group plus the two best third‑place sides move to the quarterfinals, which will be staged from August 4‑5 in Puebla before the semifinals and final find a home at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on August 7 and August 9.
Should the United States emerge victorious, the Olympic berth will be awarded to the runner‑up, while the tournament champion secures a place at the 2027 FIFA U‑20 World Cup and the 2027 Pan American Games.
