Penn High School Baseball Falls Short in Semi‑State Championship
The Kingsmen entered the IHSAA 4A semi‑state championship with a 26‑7 record, a mark that placed them among the most successful campaigns in Penn High School history. Coach Greg Dikos, in his 39th year at the helm, guided a squad that had won seven straight games late in the season, turning a promising start into a dominant finish. Lake Central ultimately pulled away to a 6‑2 victory, leaving the Kingsmen just shy of the state finals for the eighth time in program history.
