Nick Sanchez is set to make his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start of the 2026 season at Indianapolis Raceway Park, stepping into the No. 77 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports.

After a turbulent off‑season that saw Sanchez part ways with Big Machine Racing and an early shutdown of AM Racing, the Californian driver found a new home with Peterson Racing before landing the ride at Spire. The move comes after a season in which the No. 77 truck has already claimed a victory, courtesy of Carson Hocevar at Texas Motor Speedway.
Sanchez brings a modest but respectable résumé to the track, having contested 47 Truck Series events with two career wins at Daytona and Charlotte in 2024. His best finishes at Indianapolis sit at 11th and 10th, suggesting that the 1.5‑mile oval could be a surprisingly strong venue for his debut.
The upcoming race will also mark the continuation of a driver‑swap strategy employed by Spire Motorsports throughout the year, with the team cycling through a roster that includes Hocevar, Parker Kligerman, Justin Marks, Jesse Love and Connor Zilisch.
