Jacksonville Icemen Unveil New Brand Identity Ahead of 10th Anniversary

A refreshed visual identity and color scheme celebrate a decade of community connection

A Decade of Growth and a New Visual Language

The Jacksonville Icemen, the ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, have rolled out a fresh visual identity just as they approach their tenth season in the league. The redesign marks a milestone that the organization and its supporters have been anticipating for years.

At the heart of the new crest is a mythic snow creature — a stylized Yeti whose footprint subtly transforms into the outline of Florida. The logo is rendered in a palette of iceberg blue, deep black and a crisp snow hue, replacing the previous navy blue and gray.

The rebrand was executed by The Barn Creative, a Jacksonville‑based agency that has partnered with the team to emphasize its local roots and community focus. Their work blends modern design sensibilities with a nod to the region’s icy heritage.

Andy Kaufmann, the Icemen’s owner and chief executive, said the response from fans and local leaders has been overwhelming. "We feel more integrated than ever with Jacksonville," he noted, highlighting the city’s embrace of the franchise over the past decade.

Community First Credit Union, a longtime sponsor, praised the organization for reinforcing communal bonds and underscored the team’s role as a catalyst for positive local impact, from youth hockey programs to charitable events.

ECHL Commissioner Ryan Crelin added that the new look not only modernizes the franchise’s aesthetic but also cements its identity as Jacksonville’s own hockey ambassador, signaling a bright future for the league’s southern presence.

Local officials and league representatives have underscored the significance of the redesign, pointing to the Icemen’s decade‑long contribution to community engagement, economic activity and the growth of professional hockey in the region.
