Chase Bank Becomes First Jersey Patch Sponsor for All Ohio State Teams

Deal brings $17 million annually, financial literacy programs, and exclusive cardholder perks

Ohio State Athletics has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Chase Bank that will make the bank the first-ever jersey patch sponsor for all 36 of the university’s varsity teams. The agreement, which was first reported in July 2026, places the Chase logo on the front of every Buckeyes uniform, marking a historic shift in collegiate branding.

A New Era for Ohio State Athletics

Beyond the visual impact, the deal is valued at nearly $17 million per year and will fund a suite of financial literacy initiatives designed to help student‑athletes manage their earnings. Chase will also create new name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities for Ohio State athletes, while offering its cardholders exclusive ticket packages, gameday discounts and premium experiences at Ohio Stadium and the Schottenstein Center.

The partnership was championed by Ohio State’s athletic director Ross Bjork and Chase’s regional president Jennifer Roberts, who emphasized the shared commitment to student success and community engagement. JPMorganChase, the nation’s largest bank headquartered in Columbus, was identified as a natural ally given its deep roots in Ohio, and the collaboration will see the bank serve as the presenting sponsor of the newly created 1922 Club, a private lounge within the stadium.

The financial infusion is expected to accelerate Ohio State’s ability to attract top talent and expand its athletic facilities, a goal the university has pursued since January of this year. Fans can look forward to seeing the Chase patch debut on the football team’s new uniform, which features the traditional Buckeye stripes enhanced with subtle branding details.
