NASCAR has revealed the members of its Hall of Fame class of 2027, a roster that blends legendary drivers with influential figures who have shaped the sport’s modern era.
The inductees
Kevin Harvick, a seven‑time Cup Series champion whose 60 victories place him among the most prolific drivers in NASCAR history, will be celebrated for his on‑track dominance and his role in filling the seat left by the late Dale Earnhardt Sr. after his 2001 tragedy.
Jeff Burton, widely known as “The Mayor” for his smooth transition from cockpit to broadcast booth, amassed 21 Cup wins and 27 victories in the O’Reilly Series, and later became a respected leader within the Driver’s Council.
Larry Phillips, a five‑time NASCAR Weekly Series national champion who passed away in 2004 at the age of 62, was also recognized as one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers and will be inducted posthumously, marking the first of two drivers to achieve five championships in the series.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for January 22 and will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, the hometown of many of the sport’s key stakeholders.
A lasting impact
The ceremony will also highlight the role of longtime partners such as FOX Sports and the historic influence of teams like Richard Childress Racing, ensuring that the sport’s heritage remains vibrant for future generations.
