Professional Development Takes Flight
Mike Sotsky, associate head coach of the Harvard men’s basketball program, has been named among the distinguished coaches and administrators invited to the inaugural NABC Flight School, an initiative launched by the National Association of Basketball Coaches in partnership with Nike.
The one‑day event is scheduled for May 21 at Nike’s Philip H. Knight Campus just outside Portland, Oregon, where participants will engage in panel discussions, mock interviews and networking sessions with some of the most influential figures in college sports.
Designed specifically for rising assistant coaches and athletic administrators, the program blends educational content with hands‑on experiences intended to sharpen leadership skills and expand professional networks.
Craig Robinson, NABC Executive Director, highlighted the significance of the gathering, stating that investing in emerging leaders is essential for the continued growth of the sport both on and off the court.
Sotsky’s selection reflects the increasing recognition of Harvard’s coaching staff within national basketball circles, and his participation underscores the university’s commitment to developing well‑rounded basketball professionals.
