Sounders, Starbucks, and Washington Youth Soccer Launch Free Ticket Program for Young Players

Match Pass Initiative Aims to Inspire the Next Generation Ahead of 2026 World Cup

Sounders FC, Starbucks and Washington Youth Soccer have unveiled the Washington Youth Soccer Match Pass, a program that grants free admission to select home matches for registered youth athletes who are 18 years old or younger.

The initiative targets the more than 90,000 children and teenagers currently enrolled in Washington Youth Soccer, offering them the chance to experience professional soccer up close while also providing discounted tickets for friends and family.

Covering the final twelve MLS regular‑season and Leagues Cup fixtures of the 2026 campaign, the program coincides with Seattle’s upcoming turn as a host city for the FIFA World Cup 2026, a tournament that will begin just weeks after the Sounders resume play on July 16 against the Portland Timbers.

A Milestone for Youth Soccer

Since its debut in 2009, Sounders FC has collected nine major trophies, and its fan base has led the league in attendance for eight straight seasons, setting a benchmark for soccer culture in North America.

Starbucks, which has been roasting responsibly sourced arabica beans since 1971, serves as the founding partner of the Match Pass, underscoring its commitment to making the sport more accessible to families across the region.

Washington Youth Soccer, founded in 1961, is one of the most prominent youth sports organizations in the Pacific Northwest, while its national affiliate, U.S. Youth Soccer, and governing bodies such as U.S. Soccer and FIFA have all voiced support for the collaboration.
