A Summer of Soccer Takes Over Seattle's Waterfront
The Seattle Soccer Celebration, presented in partnership with Lenovo, is set to transform Pier 62 and the surrounding Elliott Bay area into a vibrant hub for football, culture and community during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Free public programming will include live viewings of the U.S. Men’s National Team, Mexico and Canada matches, allowing fans to experience the tournament’s biggest moments on a large screen at the waterfront.
Free Play on the Water
In addition to the match screenings, the event will host RAVE 52 Free Play Events — youth‑centered morning sessions on a floating barge that blend sport, art and play, reinforcing the celebration’s commitment to accessibility.
All activities require participants to register in advance through SeattleSoccerCelebration.com, ensuring a smooth and organized experience for attendees.
Friends of Waterfront Park senior director Yoon Kang O’Higgins highlighted the initiative’s focus on community, noting that “the event’s design reflects our region’s passion for the global game and its power to bring people together.”
Local food vendors, live entertainment and a series of community activations will punctuate each day of the tournament, creating a festive atmosphere that extends beyond the matches themselves.
By weaving together sport, culture and free play, the Seattle Soccer Celebration aims to showcase how major international events can be leveraged to strengthen local ties and inspire the next generation of players.
