Curators say the upcoming "Barbie: A Cultural Icon" exhibition will showcase the George Washington doll alongside other artifacts, underscoring how pop culture and history intersect in unexpected ways. The museum’s displays aim to connect Virginians with the many layers of their heritage, from colonial times to the present.
