Bubba Wallace is set to pilot a Space Jam‑themed Chevrolet in the upcoming NASCAR race at Chicagoland Speedway, a partnership that blends the world of Warner Bros. animation with stock car racing.
The car, sponsored by Upper Deck, will feature the iconic silhouettes of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck painted across the hood, turning the vehicle into a moving tribute to the 1996 cult classic film.
A nostalgic crossover
Wallace will also don a special helmet and firesuit that echo the movie’s visual style, while Upper Deck plans to release a limited run of memorabilia, including a die‑cast replica of the car for collectors.
Michael Jordan, who co‑owns Wallace’s 23XI Racing team, has been instrumental in securing the collaboration, underscoring the cultural bridge between sports, entertainment and automotive competition.
This is not the first time a Looney Tunes character has appeared on a NASCAR machine; previous campaigns have featured Tweety and other cartoon icons, but the Space Jam edition marks the most elaborate integration to date.
Wallace, the sole Black driver competing full‑time in the Cup Series, has been enjoying a surge of form, notching two top‑five finishes in the last three weeks and climbing to eleventh in the championship standings as he heads toward the Sonoma road course.
The upcoming race at Sonoma will be a critical opportunity for Wallace to chase his first victory since last season’s Brickyard 400, a win that would cement his place among the series’ rising stars.
