The team is co‑owned by Jimmie Johnson, the seven‑time champion who will compete in his final Daytona 500 next year, and the group has attracted a roster of celebrity investors that includes Bryce Harper, Andy Roddick and Kelly Slater.
A New Chapter for American Motorsports
Johnson confirmed that his swan song behind the wheel will be the iconic No. 48 entry at the 2027 Daytona 500, marking the end of a career that has spanned more than two decades in the sport.
On the driving side, Erik Jones is currently two positions below the playoff cutline, and he has been posting top‑six results at Michigan, Pocono and Atlanta in recent weeks. He will share the lineup with John Hunter Nemechek, who also pilots a car for the organization.
The club currently holds two NASCAR charters and is set to acquire a third charter next season, a move that underscores its ambition to expand its footprint in the premier series.
