Nike Binds Eight-Year Ball Supply Deal with Germany’s Women’s Bundesliga and Supercup

The partnership brings Nike’s premium Control football to the top women’s leagues, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to female athletes.

A Milestone for Women’s Football

Nike has been named the official ball supplier for Germany’s Women’s Bundesliga and the Women’s Supercup, sealing an eight‑year agreement that positions the swoosh at the heart of the country’s top women’s competitions.

Under the deal, Nike will supply its flagship Control football as the match ball for both divisions of the Bundesliga and for the Supercup, while also delivering training balls to each of the league’s clubs.

The Control ball features OmniSculpt debossed grooves designed to ensure a more consistent flight and a four‑panel construction that expands the sweet spot, giving players a more predictable touch.

Giulia Gwinn, a Nike athlete and captain of the German national women’s team, said the partnership reflects a shared ambition to ‘deliver the best for athletes across all levels’ and to accelerate the growth of the sport among women.

The agreement also extends to grassroots initiatives, with Nike collaborating with organisations such as the Berlin Football Association and buntkicktgut to broaden access and opportunity at the community level.

Manuel Hartmann, Managing Director of Leagues and Competitions at DFB GmbH & Co. KG, welcomed the collaboration, stating that it will ‘create new momentum for women’s football in Germany’ and help showcase the nation’s talent on a larger stage.
