Nike has unveiled its first ever Blue Ribbon Elite Football roster, a who’s‑who of the nation’s most promising talent, and Louisiana State University is proudly represented by eleven athletes.
The Tigers’ contingent stands as the largest single‑school cohort in the inaugural class, underscoring the program’s growing influence across college football.
Key Players to Watch
Among the standouts are running backs Harlem Berry and Caden Durham, who form one of the most dynamic one‑two punches in the country, and junior wide receiver Trey’Dez Green, who logged 33 receptions for 433 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
The roster also features transfer Jordan Seaton, the top offensive tackle available in the portal, and Husan Longstreet, who will battle for snaps in a deep quarterback room, while DJ Pickett returns after a freshman campaign that saw him record 37 tackles and three interceptions.
Defensive stalwarts Ty Benefield and Whit Weeks round out the group, with Benefield poised to bring his 235 tackles and five interceptions from Boise State to the Tigers’ secondary, and Weeks set to lead the defense in his final season in Baton Rouge.
Nike’s Blue Ribbon Elite NIL program, launched in December 2025 in partnership with LSU, highlights the university’s role as a launchpad for innovative name‑image‑likeness opportunities, with Green and Pickett among the first participants.
Looking ahead, the full slate of LSU athletes slated to join the 2026‑27 edition of the program is expected to be announced as the new academic year approaches, promising even more talent to be showcased on the national stage.
