Seattle’s waterfront is set to become a vibrant gathering place as the Seattle Soccer Celebration, presented by Lenovo, launches a series of free public events tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
From June 11 through July 6, fans can watch live broadcasts of the United States Men’s National Team, Mexico and Canada matches on the big screen at Pier 62, turning the waterfront into a communal viewing party.
In addition to the high‑profile fixtures, the celebration includes RAVE 52 Free Play Events, a series of morning sessions designed for young players that run throughout the tournament, offering coaching, games and a chance to experience the sport firsthand.
A Community‑Driven Celebration
The initiative is being coordinated by a partnership of Sounders FC, Reign FC, the RAVE Foundation and Friends of Waterfront Park, each bringing their expertise to create a diverse program that also features local food vendors, live entertainment and a range of community activations.
Attendance is by registration only, with interested participants directed to secure their spot through SeattleSoccerCelebration.com, ensuring a smooth flow of visitors and allowing organizers to manage crowd size.
Yoon Kang O’Higgins, senior director at Friends of Waterfront Park, highlighted the event’s inclusive spirit, noting that the programming is intended to welcome fans of all ages and backgrounds to share in the excitement of the world’s biggest soccer tournament.
Beyond the matches, the celebration reshapes Pier 62 and the surrounding Elliott Bay area into a cultural hub where soccer, music and local cuisine intersect, reinforcing Seattle’s reputation as a city that embraces global sporting events while fostering community connection.
