Tennessee Unveils Dark Mode Adidas Uniforms in Bold New Look

The new gear signals a decade-long partnership with Adidas after ending its Nike era

A Bold New Chapter for Tennessee Football

Tennessee football introduced its newest black alternate uniform on Tuesday, unveiling a sleek design that leans into a “dark mode” aesthetic. The reveal was accompanied by a video titled “Darkness comes for all,” echoing the style of the program’s 2024 “Venom” campaign.

The new kit, part of a broader rollout that began on July 9, continues a streak in which the Vols have gone 5‑2 in black alternate jerseys since 2009. Its debut also signals the start of a 10‑year agreement with Adidas, a partnership that had been dormant since 2015.

The deal replaces an 11‑year relationship with Nike, which had supplied the team’s apparel since 2004. While the contract officially begins on July 1, fans can begin purchasing the jerseys and other merchandise in stores starting July 10.
