Tennessee basketball has rolled out its latest Adidas home and away jerseys, marking the first reveal under a new 10‑year partnership with the sportswear giant. The contract officially began on Wednesday, setting the stage for a series of uniform updates across all Vol sports throughout the week.
Design continuity and new branding
The new home and away kits largely preserve the look that fans have grown accustomed to, with the only visual change being the updated Adidas logo. The away jersey was released on Monday and the white uniforms followed on Tuesday, underscoring the program’s careful rollout schedule.
Alternate looks for every sport
Alongside the primary uniforms, the Volunteers are introducing a suite of alternate designs. A Dark Mode all‑black version will debut on Thursday, featuring orange numbers and the word “VOLS” across the chest, while a Tennessee Classic off‑white uniform, paying homage to the 1936 edition, was unveiled earlier in the week. Both alternates join a lineage that includes a black basketball jersey introduced in 2023, which mirrors the all‑black football uniform that has been in use since 2022.
The rollout also ties into the program’s recent uniform history. Tennessee added a permanent alternate uniform in the 2018‑19 season, and the current designs trace back to a white throwback introduced that same year, itself inspired by styles worn from the early 1970s through the 1980s. Those throwback looks were modeled after the jerseys that helped the Vols capture SEC championships in 1971‑72, 1976‑77, 1978‑79 and 1981‑82.
Fans can expect to purchase the new merchandise both online and in physical stores beginning Friday. The partnership with Adidas not only refreshes the visual identity of Tennessee basketball but also reinforces a long‑term commitment that will shape the program’s apparel for the next decade.
